This is your Classic triangle handle manhole hook. This design was used by Sreco since the 50’s and has remained a preferred choice by municipalities and sewer operators since then. It is made of high quality 4130 steel that is 9/16” thick and heat treated to HC Rockwell Standard. The unique tapered hook end is just right to get into lift hole on most lids. This unit is 39” with a 90º set-up from the hook to the handle. The hook is 2 7/8” long and slightly past 90º. The handle is 6” long and perfect for a tight grip. The hook is zinc coated after heat treating for corrosion resistance. Do not be fooled by carbon steel hooks that are cheaper but not heat treated correctly. They will bend. This hook is long enough for you so you won’t strain your back.
